1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use related technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixels; throughout this notice, "cookies" refers to all of them.
2. The cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Required for the Site to function. Cannot be disabled. | Session cookies, CSRF tokens, load balancer pinning. | Session or up to 30 days |
| Preferences | Remember choices you have made (language, region, theme). | Region picker on the WhatsApp menu, accessibility preferences. | 12 months |
| Analytics | Aggregate, anonymised insight into how the Site is used so we can improve it. | Page views, scroll depth, referral source. We do not use cross-site tracking. | 13 months |
| Marketing | Measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. Set only with explicit consent. | LinkedIn Insights tag (when consented), email campaign UTM tracking. | 12 months |
3. Third-party cookies
Where we embed third-party services (e.g. an OpenStreetMap tile layer on the Contact page, a YouTube video on a Reports page, LinkedIn share buttons), those providers may set their own cookies in line with their own policies. We do not control those cookies. Where such embeds are non-essential, we load them only after you have consented to the relevant category.
4. Managing cookies
You can manage non-essential cookies in three ways:
- Use the consent banner shown on your first visit to accept, reject, or customise cookie categories.
- Re-open the consent panel at any time from the link in the footer ("Cookie preferences").
- Use your browser settings to delete cookies already stored or to block cookies entirely. Note that essential cookies are required for the Site to function correctly.
5. Do Not Track
The Site honours the standard "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signal: if your browser sends DNT, we treat it as a signal to disable analytics and marketing cookies for that session.
6. Changes to this policy
If we add a new cookie category or a new third-party service that sets cookies, we will update this page and refresh the consent banner so you can review and confirm your choices.
